 About Global Footprints:

 Previously known as the BBM Global Industry Scholarships, Global Footprints Scholarships has been empowering young Australians since 1983. Over the years, the program has helped thousands of individuals in agriculture, horticulture, and trades become leaders making a real difference in their industries and communities. The legacy of this impactful initiative continues, inspiring the next generation of practical and influential leaders.

 

Program Purpose:

 The Global Footprints Scholarships provide young Australians in vocational careers with exceptional opportunities for international exposure and hands-on experience. The program is dedicated to cultivating skilled professionals who are passionate about contributing to a sustainable future, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

 

What the Program Offers:

  •  Sustainability Focus 🌱: The program prioritises sustainability, nurturing responsible leadership in industries critical to a sustainable future.

  • Proven Legacy 📈: With over 1,000 scholars having completed the program since its inception, the Global Footprints Scholarships continues to build a strong history of developing young leaders who contribute meaningfully to their fields and communities.

  • $9,000 Travel Grant 💰: Scholars receive a $9,000 grant to fund self-directed overseas work experience. This financial support empowers scholars to select their destination and tailor their learning experience according to their career and personal development goals.

  • Industry Exploration 🌍: Scholars are given the opportunity to choose their destination and connect directly with industry leaders across the world, gaining valuable global insights that enhance their careers.

  • Personalized Support:: The program includes workshops, professional coaching, and networking opportunities, ensuring that participants develop the skills, knowledge, and connections necessary to succeed as future leaders.

Program Timeline & Eligibility:

  • Applications are open annually from 1 May to 1 June.

  • The pre-travel program runs from September to December, followed by at least 20 days of overseas work experience, a workshop, and graduation.

  • The program can be completed within 6 to 18 months, depending on individual travel and scholarship plans.

  • The program is designed for 18-25-year-olds starting out in vocational careers in agriculture, horticulture, and trades.
