Victorian Rootlings ASVO Yarra Valley Opportunity

The Rootlings network is thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for ten successful Victorian members to attend a premium industry event. We're offering a ticket to the ASVO Yarra Valley Trip on October 8, 2025.

The day titled "Deluge to Drought: Navigating Moisture Challenges in the Vineyard," is an unmissable chance to get on the ground with some of the best in the business. This event is designed to give you practical, forward-thinking strategies for managing vineyard challenges in a changing climate.

What's on the Program?

This full-day seminar is packed with valuable insights and networking opportunities.

  • Regional Rundown: Get a local's perspective as Chris Beard of TarraWarra Estate shares a regional overview, highlighting the Yarra's strengths and current challenges.

  • Climate & Disease Insights: Stay ahead of the curve with experts Dr. Andi Roberts-Davison and Dr. Toni Chapman, who will provide critical updates on disease risks, including a focus on Bacterial Inflorescence Rot.

  • Solutions-Focused Panel: A key part of the day is a panel discussion on water management. You'll hear from Ben Bussell (Handpicked Wines), Marti Gallasch, and Jeremy Giddings (Agriculture Victoria Services) on practical solutions, from real-world sustainability initiatives to data-driven irrigation technology.

  • Field Visits: Put the theory into practice! The afternoon will include site visits to Handpicked Wines and De Bortoli Wines to see sustainability and water management firsthand.
