Victorian Rootlings at the ASVO Yarra Valley Field Day

We have an exciting opportunity for ten successful Victorian Rootlings to attend the ASVO Yarra Valley Trip on October 8, 2025. The day titled "Deluge to Drought: Navigating Moisture Challenges in the Vineyard," is a fantastic chance to gain valuable insights from industry leaders.

This is a unique opportunity to expand your knowledge of viticulture and network with leading professionals in the field. Your attendance fee will be fully covered by Rootlings, with the funding provided by Wine Australia. Unfortunately, there is no funding to cover travel or accommodation.

The program includes:

  • Regional Overview & Challenges: A look at the Yarra Valley with Chris Beard of TarraWarra Estate.

  • Disease & Climate Risks: Updates on vineyard diseases like Bacterial Inflorescence Rot from Dr. Andi Roberts-Davison and Dr. Toni Chapman.

  • Water Management & Sustainability Panel: A discussion with experts on practical solutions for managing water, including technology, vineyard infrastructure, and sustainability initiatives.

  • Field Visits: Practical insights with afternoon tours of Handpicked Wines and De Bortoli Wines.

If you're interested in attending, please fill out this form here by Thursday, 25 September.

Successful applicants will be notified on Monday, September 29.
