In June, we have a double icon hour of power with Anna Webster, editor, and Katrina Butler, general manager & head of tasting of the Halliday Wine Companion, on June 24, from 7-8pm AEST

Katrina Butler is a passionate and accomplished professional in the world of wine, currently serving as the Tasting Manager for Halliday Wine Companion. Having spent a decade in the food industry as a skilled baker and preferred supplier to many prestigious Yarra Valley wineries, she hung up her apron and transitioned her career to explore the art of wine communication.

She is emphatic about ensuring that the stories behind each bottle of wine are told with authenticity and reverence, bridging the gap between producers and wine enthusiasts, and ultimately making the Australian wine landscape more vibrant and accessible.

Anna is a journalist, writer and editor with over a decade of experience specifically in the food and wine space. She has worked (or written) for the country’s top publications, including Good Food, Broadsheet and Gourmet Traveller, for institutions Melbourne Food & Wine Festival and REVEL (Pinot Palooza), and on the floor at Melbourne wine bar Toorak Cellars.

In 2024, she passed her WSET Level 3 with distinction (for theory). She has been with Halliday since late 2021, and editor since early 2022.
